98 % of Finnish dentists are members of Finnish Dental Association. In year 2007 we designed a new visual identity for the associaton. The aim was to express the high quality of Finnish dental care and the ethical values and collegiality of dentists. The new logo shows Uroboros, a snake eating its own tail. Uroboros is a symbol for the eternal circle of life. The movement is towards the mouth area. The shape of the circle is also the letter O and thus indicates two words very closely related to the theme, odontology and oral.
